FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — A meeting Tuesday of Volkswagen AG’s management board yielded no decision on where to build a possible U.S. plant, a facility for which a Limestone County site has been rumored as top choice.The company said its management board met for a few hours but did not choose between sites in Tennessee, Michigan or a local site, which has been widely reported to be at Greenbrier near Interstate 565. The local site is on land recently annexed by Huntsville.

A convicted sex offender who police say has been living near Athens Bible School for three years was arrested after he took his wife and child to the Lions Club Kiddie Carnival.Robert Lee Cook, 43, of 408 Hoffman St., Athens, was arrested Monday after he attended the Athens Lions Club Kiddie Carnival Saturday night across from Athens Middle School.
