Scottsboro is the seat of Jackson County. It is a wonderful community in a very scenic area by the Tennessee River and Guntersville Lake in Northeast Alabama. Scottsboro can be reached by US Highway 72, about 35 miles east of Huntsville, 50 miles southwest of Chattanooga
and 100 miles northeast of Birmingham.

Many outstanding outdoor activities can be found in Jackson County. With spectacular caves, lush forests and endless recreational possibilities on area lakes and streams, you might say it just doesn't get better than this!
